This digital painting reflects a photograph of my parent's wedding after my mother's proposal acceptance with a "what the heck". Not having met until later in life, their connection was strong and sure.

Throughout my childhood having 'older' parents has set me apart from some peers and family, yet it has been a such a treasure. They have imparted me with such much wisdom, and guidance through many aspects of life, leading me to be the strong, creative, and unabashed woman I am today.

Their love, through times of laughter, bad luck, and the changing tides, has never only grown sturdier, fortified from 25+ years of marriage.
